A Poem — “We Hear You”

Privacy advocates worry

that their voice may not be heard

in the debate over the Anti-Terrorism bill.

Someone should reassure them

that their voice will be heard, recorded,

meetings videotaped,

email messages reviewed, filed,

even before they click ‘Send’.

(Editor’s note: poet Shai Ben-Shalom, an Israeli-born biologist, examines current events in the Blacklock’s tradition each and every Sunday)
