Feds To Legislate Prices

Finance Canada proposes to abolish “discrimination” in cross-border retail pricing amid warnings the initiative may be pointless and unenforceable. The department said it will introduce a bill in the Commons compelling retailers to account for differences in costs of identical goods in Canada and the U.S. A Senate study earlier concluded Finance Canada’s own tariffs were often to blame: “We have to take a very, very close look at this”.
