Gov’t Email Mayhem Forecast

An Access To Information memo warns of mayhem under a federal plan to convert 493,000 employees’ email accounts to the same suffix,, including employees with identical surnames. The Government of Canada employs hundreds of Taylors, Wangs, Singhs and other staff with soundalike names: ‘There are 10 Alain Tremblays. How will the public distinguish which Alain they want to send a message to?’
