The Tk’emlups te Secwepemc First Nation prior to its announcement was repeatedly told by then-Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s government it did not qualify for grants: “It was with a heavy heart that Tk’emlups te Secwepemc confirmed an unthinkable loss.”
